The Wisconsin Patriot Coalition

(Madison) – Over the past week, One Wisconsin Now and other progressive organizations have
ceaselessly broadcast disapproval of efforts by Republicans at the State Capitol to bolster the integrity
of elections in this state. By contrast, the Wisconsin Patriot Coalition (WPC) wishes to express its
support for Senate Bill 6 (SB 6), a proposed measure that would prudently require photo ID to vote in
public elections. Currently under review by the Senate Committee on Transportation and Elections after
a public hearing on January 26th, the bill would provide an important first step in comprehensive voting
reform and reduce a substantial risk of identify theft currently posed by loose voting policy in Wisconsin.

Free, fair, honest elections are crucial to a properly functioning representative republic. However, a
variety of investigations and convictions in Wisconsin prove that voter fraud does occur in this state. A
report on the November 2004 election by the Milwaukee Special Investigations Unit makes plain, for
example, that in that election “reports of more ballots cast than voters recorded” were true. Finding
such offenders is often impossible, though the damage they do in undermining public confidence in
elections and, ultimately, government is substantial and lasting.

SB 6 would assist in verifying legitimate, registered voters at the polling place, thereby minimizing fraud
damage before it occurs. The WPC hopes that before being advanced to the Wisconsin State Senate
for a vote, the bill will be amended in such a manner as also to protect elections at the point of voter
registration.

With voter rolls publicly available, infrequent or sporadic voters remain at profound risk of having their
identities stolen during an election. In Wisconsin, where voter turnout generally remains well under 50
percent, even in high-profile, national races, the only way in which such a crime generally becomes
detectable is if the actual, registered voter shows up unexpectedly, at which point, fraudulent use of his
or her name by another is revealed. Other types of fraud are facilitated by high turnouts. While photo ID
would not eliminate the risk of all voter fraud, it would certainly make it more difficult to commit.

Voter ID is normal, prudent practice across the United States. Currently, 27 other states require some
form of ID to vote in public elections. Three additional states, including Wisconsin, are pending.

Opponents of SB 6, such as One Wisconsin Now and a number of prominent Democrats at the State
Capitol, have repeatedly raised the specter of voter disenfranchisement. In doing so, they have notably
defined disenfranchisement along lines of income and race. The WPC maintains that income and race
are false divides that should fool no one. The real boundary line must finally be drawn between
legitimate and illegitimate voters. Getting proper ID into the hands of any and all legitimate voters is far
easier to achieve than cleaning up a loss of public confidence that will inevitably result from failure to
exclude or preclude illegitimate votes.

In fact, WPC would remind critics of SB 6 that even one fraudulent vote disenfranchises two legitimate
voters. A simple example illustrates this point: Two legitimate voters each cast a ballot for Candidate A.
An illegitimate voter casts a single ballot for Candidate B. The single illegitimate vote not only cancels
out Candidate A’s advantage but also the express will of the two legitimate voters whose ballots had
provided it.

During Tuesday's State of the Union address, President Obama poked fun at the federal government's incompetence in regulating salmon and promised reform:

"In the coming months, my administration will develop a proposal to merge, consolidate, and reorganize the federal government in a way that best serves the goal of a more competitive America...In the coming year, we'll also work to rebuild people's faith in the institution of government."

If President Obama is serious about reforming government, then we have a serious proposal that he can tackle right now.

Replace the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

Of all the government agencies that have become barriers to job creation and economic growth, the Environmental Protection Agency is the worst offender.

Since its founding 40 years ago, the EPA has transformed from an agency with the original noble mission of protecting the environment into a job-killing, centralizing engine of ideological litigation and regulation that blocks economic progress.

The EPA should therefore be replaced with a new and improved agency dedicated to bringing together science, technology, entrepreneurs, incentives, and local creativity to create a cleaner environment with a stronger economy that generates more American jobs and more American energy.

Ron Kind AARP Scaring Seniors?

Eau Claire (WQOW) - Over the coming years, parts of the health care reform law are set to go into effect. But right now, local senior citizens have many questions about how the legislation affects them. They got answers Thursday morning from a member of Congress.

Hundreds of seniors gathered in Eau Claire with a lot of questions.
So in the next few years(2014), not now, Obamacare will go into effect. Seems these seniors are scared! 

"As a senior citizen, a man who's a month away from being 78 years old, I'm concerned about my health currently and particularly in the future," says Tom Frisbie.

Their concerns revolved around the health care reform law passed nearly a year ago.

So Congressman Kind voted for Obamacare a year ago and he is just now telling seniors what's is in it today?

"People are very curious as to how the law will impact them, how it will impact their children and whether the law is really of benefit to the country," says D'Anna Bowman, senior state director for AARP. "There are just tons of questions about the law that passed."

Questions and confusion among those 65 and older.

So seniors are concerned about healthcare that goes into effect in 2014 for them and their children who will deal with this mess and AARP who went along with this SCAM is first talking to them today? Did AARP tell the seniors how they are making money off them and Obamacare?

"Especially when it comes to Medicare, there are so many myths, so much misinformation in regards to health care reform and the impact on seniors," says Representative Ron Kind (D) of Wisconsin's third district.

Congressman Kind, did you tell those seniors that Medicare funding will be cut in Obamacare that you voted for?

Congressman Kind, along with AARP representatives, fielded concerns from Chippewa Valley seniors like Barbara Gosch.

"I was very surprised to find out that, although I was currently on Medicare and had a supplement, if I changed plans and wanted to go back to my old one, I could be denied," the Eau Claire senior says.

So that's good news, if she could be denied? Thank yoy Congressman Kind and AARP!

Denied if she developed what would become a pre-existing condition. Barbara learned how the health care law will help.

So Barbara was told she probably won't get a pre-existing condition, You look fine, don't worry about it. The head of HHS will decide if you get covered or not! Oh no, did they tell them the head of HHS will decide their lives? 

Starting in 2014, seniors and people of all ages cannot be denied coverage because of pre-existing conditions.

These are seniors and the only positive they are told is that they cannot be denied coverage because of pre-existing condition, are you kidding me? I wonder if anyone asked Kind what will happen when Obamacare is repealed? By vote or by court? His answer should be, they will live longer without Obamacare!

How can Kind and AARP lie to these people?

Following President Barack Obama’s State of the Union address tonight, Rep. Paul Ryan of Wisconsin will deliver the GOP’s official response in a message to be broadcast by the major television networks. Following his talk, GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann of Minnesota will take to the web to deliver the official Tea Party rebuttal.

The two different responses emphasize the divisions within the Republican Party, riven as they are along establishment and Tea Party lines. Many downplay the divisions, noting that Ryan, a rising star of the party, is a fiscal conservative who is proposing deep cuts to discretionary federal spending.

If the ruling class republicans would come to their senses or start their own RINO party I like what Bachmann did!

"Pima County Sheriff Clarence Dupnik has never lost an election, but that was before his remarks assigning blame for the deadly Tucson, Ariz., shooting to political "vitriol" and calling Arizona "a mecca for prejudice and bigotry."

Now it's Sheriff Dupnik who finds himself on the public-opinion hot seat. A group opposed to illegal immigration has begun an effort to recall the sheriff in a special election. Meanwhile, a Pima County tea party group is planning on holding a "Dump Dupnik" rally next week outside his office.

"I haven't been a fan of Dupnik's for a long time, but this really was the straw that broke the camel's back," said Tom Rompel, co-owner of Black Weapons Armory in Tucson. "He's law enforcement. We expect 'the facts, ma'am,' not his opinion. He leans far left, always has, and frankly, people have had enough.""
